My husband and I are completely remodeling our home. We aren't at the point of replacing our bathroom doors; which are slim, French doors with glass. The glass is NOT frosted, so there's 0 privacy.
I'm just wanting a quick fix that will last until next year. We used privacy film on two windows next to our entry doorway. It's worked out great, was just a hassle to apply.

I saw frosted. Another suggestion was a windowed/frosted-glass door. I saw some google images of bathrooms with the door in place, but the lights in the bathroom were on, or the bathroom already had windows.

We bought frosted glass covering for our bathroom window because it's easy to see in at night. When we redo our en suite, we're thinking of replacing our dated frosted glass/bronze framed swinging door with clear sliding door. Plus, if the glass were frosted and you had a light in the hallway, I think all you would see is a diffused reflection of the light bouncing off the wall which would look like light coming from inside the bathroom thru a frosted door. The bathroom door is in need of replacement. I thought it might be a neat idea to get a new one that has a frosted glass insert so you can see whether or not the bathroom is occupied.
The glass would have to be frosted enough so that naughty details can't be seen, but you would be able to see vague shapes & movement. Just enough to let anybody on the other side know that the room was.
